Apparently the packaging is changed, but the contents are the same. There is even one on Ebay now for over $1000. We must be getting close to a US release

It could be a press promo pack but if it isn't that's a lot prettier packaging

I hope it's promo packaging. That's an awful waste of plastic. I much prefer the recycled bamboo concept. I can't stand taking out a sharp knife in order to open a package containing an expensive device that can be damaged by a sharp knife!

I agree, it is ok if it is something useful, but to spend money on packaging instead of a case or other goodies is just wasteful. Reminds me of these medicine packages that come in individually contained pills for each day of the month instead of a basic pill bottle
