USB-C Port: Slightly Loose?

With my Note 8, my USB-C Port is slightly loose. I can wiggle it a few degrees left and right and up and down, but not a lot. However, it doesn't fall out, it has a reasonably right fit, and the charge is never interrupted. Is this how it is supposed to be? Also, is some movement (wiggling) bad for the phone, or is it built to withstand this?

No its not how the port should be.

I have a launch day note 8 and the port is just as tight and firm as day one.

If you use the port often it WILL begin to wear down, faster if you are not careful with how you insert and remove the cable.

Are you still using the cable that came with the phone @azolnierek?
