Updated motorola device manager the other day now wont charge via usb. When I plug it in, up pops a message on comp "cannot install this hardware", motorola composite device.Yet usb connection shown on phone. Any ideas anyone? Thanks
Does seem like a bit of a coincidence, however the most frequent cause of these sort of problem is a dodgy USB cable - they're very easily damaged. Have you tried with a different cable?

Thanks for the quick reply. Just tried another cable, same. Odd thing is, I tried a system restore (XP Pro) to before update and computer did not restore any files, Weird
May have found the problem, Moto Device Manager seems to overwrote Moto Phone Portal. Searched all ovr, but can't find a download for it. Anuone know where I can download Moto Phone Portal.
