USB Connection Not Supported

When connecting our Galaxy 3S to the USB port in our vehicle, it states USB Connection Not Supported, so we can't play music through the vehicle's stereo. Same message when connecting to camper stereo USB port. How can I play music from my phone through vehicle stereos?
 
Have you confirmed that your device is supported? Some USB media ports only support USB drives or pple devices, therefore Android may not be supported.
