USB debugging without tethering

Hello. Is it possible to debug on LG g6 without turning on USB tethering? If so, how? I'm connecting my device to a computer running Windows 10. Android Studio only recognises my device if I turn on tethering, but if I do so, my computer connects to the internet through my phone and I can't find a setting to change that.

Nevermind, I found the solution. I had to block the phone modem in the network settings on my computer and it works fine now. Hope this will help someone.
