USB driver not found

Hi, I am trying to connect a tablet(Sansui Lifepad) with Android 4.0 to my Windows XP(I know) laptop and keep on getting an error that the driver for the device recognised(either MTP or ANDROID) fails. I have tried numerous solutions with no avail.

Try removing the USB from the PC, uninstalling all tab-related drivers and rebooting the PC. If the tab comes with a PC toolset, re-install this and only re-connect the tab when prompted. If not, re-connecting the tab.

NB: allow all of the drivers to install before removing the USB.

If that doesn't work, uninstall the drivers again, restart again then go to the tab manufacturer's support page, download and follow the instructions to install the latest drivers manually.
