Help USB MTP no longer working Oreo August update

Hi,

Ever since the UK August security update, MTP has not worked when connecting to any pc, laptop or even my car. I have tried the following:
Developer mode USB debugging and various configurations/ settings in it
*#0808#
Reset the phone back to factory
Different cables
different laptops/ pcs

Still no USB MTP, it only charges and the usual USB menu fails to appear. It does state USB charging but instead of a link to enable USB MTP, it takes me to the battery screen. Has anyone else experienced this?

I’d reach out to your carrier and open up a ticket about your issue. Also if you know of someone in your area with the same phone, carrier, os update, reach out to them.

If you dont see the option any more when it used to be there before the update, it may be a bug in the os your carrier pushed out.

What happens when you press the power notification in the pull down menu?

Power notification shows USB charging, annoyingly the link is for battery, not USB

I spoke to Samsung support and they said to take it to a repair centre (like the post above suggested).

So bizarre.
