USB not working

I have a Prestige 10 Internet Tablet, Android 4.0
When I plug in the USB it won't work, will not charge or connect to my laptop. I have tried different USB cables and it still don't work. Please Help

Although I am not familiar with your device, I can try to help
Did this happen for what appears, no reason?
Or is the device new and it won't connect?

The only thing I could find as far as drivers for it, is this but it's for Windows 98:
Visual Land Inc.

Edit: I found the owners manual also...it recommends to turn off usb tethering if you want to connect to the computer with a cord:

Thanks for the reply, but sorry nothing works. When I plug it into the computer, the computer doesn't even asknowledge it. It used to be fine so I don't know what has happened.
