Help USB OTG with ps3 controller on verizon s3 not working?

Am I the only one?

This video on youtube the guy says around the 9:00 mark, its native/plug and play. A usb memory stick, and mouse work, but not my ps3 controller.

He says this would work with an unrooted phone. My phone is not rooted.

Anyone with an unrooted us verizon galaxy s3 had any luck pairing it with ps3 controller over usb??

I have that app and my Xbox controller syncs up immediately. I know, it's an apples to oranges comparison (considering I have a Sprint device and a XBox controller to your VZW device and PS3 controller), but for a few bucks to get the app, you might get your ability to use the controller.

VZW may have done something funky to disable the controllers.

Would love to hear other user experiences on unrooted vzw us s3's.

My S3 works fine with the PS3 controller after I press the "Playstation" button in the middle of the controller.

Took me a while to figure it out :-(
