Alright, so, on the Samsung Galaxy Ace, the USB Tethering option would be great-it would allow me to use my old computer instead of borrowing laptops from my parents. However, despite how well the phone can connect to every other computer in the house, this one eight-year old computer is giving me trouble.
Plugging the phone in does nothing except cause the Phone to 'Ping'-the USB symbol does not flash up, and the computer does not offer to install drivers. By clicking 'USB Debugging' in Applications, Development, the USB symbol /will/ come up and the USB Debugging will turn itself back on immediately.
However, despite how the USB symbol has appeared, the "connect storage to PC' option does not work, and turning on USB Tethering insights no reaction whatsoever.
Help would be appreciated, thanks.
