USB to Serial communications for console control

I just bought a Transformer Prime with the dock and would like to use it more at work. Currently I'm a network administrator and would like to be able to use it to communicate with Cisco equipment via the USB port on the dock. Is there an app that can be used similar to hyperterminal as well as a way to get it to recognize a serial to usb cable.

The same goes for using a usb to ethernet adapter. Thanks.
