Use battery from 1 Samsung model in a different model?

Is it possible to use the battery from 1 Samsung smartphone model in a different Samsung smartphone model, to get better battery capacity, as long as the size is the same / fits?

I have a Galaxy S Relay 4G that I am curious if I can use a battery from similar models (i.e: maybe a different Galaxy).

as long as they fit, the locations of the pin outs are the same, the voltage of both batterys are the same, sure!
