I'm not using Verizon's service anymore and want to use my Droid 4 as a pocket computer. But without a current SIM, the Droid is locked on an emergency call only screen. I can't access any other features. Is there a way around this?
No, but using it with the SIM is pretty safe. Since the network can't authenticate your phone you're not likely to see any data charges (the network likely won't allow any access outside of 911 service).
