Use of flashdrive with A52 android 13

I can use (read/write) a flashdrive on my samsung tablet T590 (TAB A 2018 android 10), also on my smartphone samsung A21 with android 13, but NOT on my smartphone samsung A52 with android 13. Is this normal behaviour? Some setting to be changed?. I already tried changing the 'standard USB-configuration' without success.

Should be compatible.
Are you using a phone case or covering that may be preventing the flash drive from connecting fully?

I tested without cover w/o result. I use a female-usb to male-usb-c connector indeed but do the same on my A21 successfully. Maybe I should test with a full usb-c-drive?

Yes try the USB-C flash drive instead of using an adapter
