I do not see anything special in PayPal versus Google Checkout. Well, maybe apart from the fact that PayPal can use an account as a funding source.

Bingo. Instant funding from multiple sources ,whether credit card or bank accounts just makes it more useful.

Checkout gives you the option of easily adding an alternative delivery address - made receiving my N1 at work much easier..
 
At last, stupid google checkout refusing my Credit Card and my GFs visa for absolutly no reason, google it, its a common problem.

Now I get to buy apps again.
