What Picasa version do I use to get pictures from my canon digital camera to my new Samsung note 10.1.
I did download something from the play store for .99 but it doesn't look anything like the Picasa 3.9 on my desk top pc and it seems to deal more with photos taken by the note camera.

Hi, and welcome!

I think you are going to have to either hook your camera into a computer, or remove the camera's sd card and insert it in your computer, and upload the images to Picasa from there, then access Picasa from the Note.

The Canon I have (older) does not access the Internet on it's own--I have to use a computer.

I am beginning to suspect you are correct, but the Samsung rep at Best Buy (where I purchased the Note) said I would need an adaptor to connect my camera to the Note. They were out at the time, but the fact she said that made me think it was possible to directly upload photos. I have Picasa 3.9 on my desk top pc and connect camera thru usb port and Picasa pulls any photos into a file where I can work on them to enhance or put titles on. While at Best Buy, I was being helped with setting up everything and I downloaded a Picasa app from the Play Store for .99 but after going thru it, it seems intended to be used with pictures made on the Note camera, not my Canon digital camera. There were over 20 Picasa apps in the Play Store and I picked one that said it was for portable devices. Guess I'll need to return to Best Buy to see if they can help me, but appreciate your comments and welcome any more. Thanks again

The cable that the rep was talking about was probably a USB OTG (On The Go) cable, which is a standard allowing mobile devices to act as USB hosts instead of USB devices.

What happens if you use a MicroSD card in the camera and then insert it into the Note?
