Use Sprint towers instead of Virgin Mobile towers,

First don't call me absolutly stupid yes VM uses Sprint Towers but could I flash my phone to access them as Sprint instead of VM because my Grandma's Samsung Galaxy S1 can access a Sprint tower and I can't access it with Virgin Mobile. Is there anyway to do this?

You can try flashing a different prl. I can't say which one would be best since it depends on your location. You may find one that can connect to the tower you want.

Unequivocally no.

You didn't state what VM phone you have... The Samsung GS is WiMAX 4G capable I believe, while your VM phone, depending on the model, may just be 3G only. Therefore, your grandma could be connected to Sprint's 4G while you're connected to Sprint's 3G antenna/tower/network. If this is the case, then changing PRL is unlikely to change anything for you operationally. FYI.

Ahhh, there's your problem.

Virgin doesn't offer roaming so you can't use the tower she was roaming on.
