User Dictionary Manager (UDM)

Hi all,

I made an application that I think you will find very useful.

User Dictionary Manager (UDM) allows you to edit/export/import/delete/clean the user dictionary words on your Android phone.

I think this will come in very handy for everybody who has to type alot of text in mails, SMSes, etc.

With the help of the User Dictionary Manager application you can export your defined words and import them on another phone - for example, sharing with friends and colleagues.

The homepage of the User Dictionary Manager (UDM) is User Dictionary Manager for Android (UDM)

Couldn't find words on the new HTC ROM :( Has Sense UI and a modified version of HTC_IME.

Yep. As you can read on the UDM website, many HTCs are not supported because the damn HTC firmware uses a nonstandard Android implementation.

So please don't blame the developer - me :)

I have asked HTC about this and until now I got no feedback. But in my opinion they just-don't-care.

Ces't la vie...

I am very sorry for the HTC users. I know they are very frustrated. I have received many many mails about this, but it's out of my hands. HTC is to blame here.

D'oh! Didn't read :)

No blame on you ;) I know how frustrating it is. I just hope there'd be something soon. Good luck finding a solution around that. And good luck getting a Nexus 1 :D

on the new htc eris update (2.1) it is easy to edit the user dictionary.
open any message etc and click on the settings button on the keyboard that would take you to where you can change your keyboard type. now at the bottom of the list is an option for the user dictionary built in to the system. it shows you all of the words you've added and allows you to delete them if you wish.

i know this only helps eris users, but it's a start.
