Using a GoPhone on Mobile Share plan

I want to upgrade my parents' phones that are out of contract to entry level smartphones but I'd rather not commit to a 2-yr contract. If I purchase an Android GoPhone, can I use them on our Mobile Share plan by just using the sim from their old phones? Also if I do this, will I need to pay an activation fee?

Will it work? Probably. Is it legitimate? No. If you get caught, they could ... well, charge you more from the start of the use of the phones, cancel your entire account ... the contract is written by them for them. About the only right it gives you is the right to pay your bill on time.
