using an external monitor with a tablet

I am trying to find out what would the best way to hook an external monitor to an android tablet. I am trying to find a way to hook a projector to an android tablet so that the tablet can be used for a presentation if it is possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
If the Tablet has MHL output (Samsung Tablets for example have that), simply plug in an adapter to HDMI to connect to a monitor or projector.
