Android Question

I'm new to android, just got a nexus 7 (original about a month ago). I had my nexus 7 connected to a shared folder on my computer for 2 weeks and was streaming videos & music without any problems. The our ISP went down for half a day. When it came back, the nexus 7 reconnected automatically to internet without issue and if I scan in ES filemanager, it sees the computers on the home network (3), but will not connect to the one that had the shared folder. I believe this could be because When the internet was down, I initially rebooted router and when it came back up, it assigned different ip addresses to the computers than what they originally had. Now the message I get when trying to connect is "log in fails", with series of suggestions regarding lan being off, SMB, ip is invalid, blocked by firewall, etc. However, no computer settings have changed other than IP.
I initially deleted the computers from es file mgr and used es task mgr to clear cache, then uninstalled and re-installed es file mgr, but still get the same message when trying to add the computer.
Suggestions?
