Using Google Voice SMS through Handcent

As the title states, I want to use my Google Voice text messaging but I would like to do it through Handcent, or even the default Messaging app. If I send the initial message through my GV app, it shows up in my Handcent inbox. The thing is, to reply using Handcent you have to respond to a 406 number that uses my text messages.

My end goal is to do all my texting with GV and not have to pay my provider for it anymore... if this isn't possible yet there HAS to be someone working on this.

Just dont use handsent anymore. Just use the GV app. I am going to start doing this when the end of my pay cycle starts so I dont have to do any pro ration. Also so enough of my friends can be warned of the change in time.

You can't do this and use the stock Messaging app or Handcent (or similar). If you use them you're sending the text via Verizon's network. The GV app uses your data connection. You have to use the GV app.

The only problem with totally relying on GV for text messaging is that it's extremely common for messages to be very delayed. I've never had delays with Messaging or Handcent.
