Using my android phone to replace my console

Hi,

Is it possible to use the Note 3 to replace the console. Mainly it is because of portability. I can go to any TV, and hook up immediately.

I have a normal LED TV. I can buy a MHL cable, which can output to the TV, however, I am not sure if the TV can charge the device while it is connected. I can use the moga pro controller to connect to the controller via bluetooth. The only thing I have problems right now is how to have constant power supply as running the games with the battery will run the thing flat quick.

Anything that I have missed out on converting the phone into a dedicated console?

If you're wanting a dedicated Android console, surely you're just better off getting an OUYA or something like that?

Saying that, I don't see how a phone really replaces a home console - the selection of games just isn't comparable. Just my opinion. :)
