Using Navigation in Portrait Mode

Am I the only one that prefers navigating in portrait as opposed to landscape. It seems that you get more view of the road ahead, rather then the sides.

What am I missing, where/why would landscape be preferred?

I mostly use portrait. With CoPilot I sometimes use it landscape when I want to use the lane guidance feature.

I agree it's better to see what's ahead rather than so far to each side.

I'm with you guys. It makes more sense to see the road ahead than what's off to the sides.

I use portrait mainly because that's what position my phone is in when I use my car mount. But yes, portrait makes more sense for navigation.
