Using the Ignore feature

When I add a name to my Ignore list and then see a post from that name, I see "This message is hidden because (name here) is on my Ignore list", or words to that effect in place of the actual text of the post from that user.

Is there a way to not even see posts from a given user? This would be VERY helpful, IHMO.

Short and to the point, no. The forum allows messages to be blocked from view, but does not allow them to be really removed, if that makes sense.
