Help Using video and limited GUI on android

Can I setup an Asus Memo Pad 8 running android to play video and use a limited GUI without entering the main interface?

I was thinking of using them in a medical clinic environment to display video about procedures before the patients visit with the Doctor.

Any help would be much appreciated on this matter!

Actually I think that you can do that in an unexpected way.

Search the Play Store for "parental control" - there are a number of good apps that limit the interface and the apps available.

When I surveyed these a few years back I found several that didn't have a kiddie look and feel - just a focused limitation, that you can't escape without the password (you make).

Is that sort of akin to the "guest mode"? (at least on my LG G3) or the mode on some new samsungs? (that allow parents to control what their kids have access to)
