using vpn cyberghost on Android box

Hello was wondering if I could get any help using cyberghost on the following android boxhttp://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00GYRDZGE
Currently the app will install but the programme only flickers and cannot connect to the server. in the faq on amazon it suggests rooting it but I don't know what this means or if this will help

I don't know this software or device, but rooting means gaining administrator access. The methods of doing this are different for different devices, so you'd have to ask for advice in the relevant section (e.g. the Android TV section if we don't have a forum for that device).

A VPN app should not require root. It's only really to provide a secure tunnel on the internet. I don't know this particular VPN, but if it's misbehaving could be worth emailing the devs about it.
