V20 Not Fast Charging

When I 1st got my V20, I was using a 3.0 quick charge wall charger from Anker that has a type A connection to it & it was fast charging my phone with a type A to type C cable. Well then I read that if you want the best charge possible to use a C to C cable. I then purchased another Anker Quick Charge 3.0 charger with type C & got an Aukey type C 3.1 cable. The result was standard charging. I sent the cable back thinking there was something wrong with it & purchased a 2nd one. Still the same result so I purchased an Aukey Quick Charge 3.0 type C charger. Still no fast charge with the Aukey charger so then I went & bought an Anker Powerline+ type C cable. No fast charging with either cable or charger so im thinking that something is going on with the phone. Why is it that I can get a fast charge from a type A to type C cable but not with a C to C cable?

It could be the positions of the prongs in the cord. They don't match up properly from the charger to the phone to allow for quick charge when using C to C.

I'm referring to hardware matching. The cords you have may not match up with the V20.

Kind of like some cords for data transfer works on some phones, but wont on others.

You could be running into a similar situation with the C to C cords on the V20.

I'm going to try 1 more cable & it's a RavPower C to C. It claims it supports fast charging.

so before you send back your next cord - I've seen similar issue with new USB 3.0C cords I have purchased. I bought 2 of the highly vaunted I Orange E cables. because you should only buy cables tested by that one google engineer. I'm glad someone is testing them but I just find the hype funny.

ANYWHO - thing is I got 2 cables that were cheap due to sale I was going to buy the monoprice versions. And when I got them - they didn't work the first time. Specifically the first plug up - didn't charge AT ALL. so there is something to be said said about the handshaking though the cable. One I had to plug in 3 times. first - nothing, second - about 2 seconds in it moved to standard charging. Third plug in - charging immediately, then 2 or so seconds in - fast charging.

Now I've since used the same cable on my laptop with usb 3.0 - and it connected with very fast transfer - clocked just over 1gb/s or so. which was nice.

you do not need a C -to C cable to get all of it - you need a 3.0 to C cable since you need the extra wires.
