Root V4A on Stock without disabling selinux

but if you don't have TWRP you must disable SeLinux...
No, just create a file in /system/su.d named whatever.sh and paste this.
Code:
#! /system/bin/sh
/system/xbin/supolicy --live "allow mediaserver mediaserver_tmpfs:file { read write execute };"
Give file 0755 or rwx-rx-rx
Chown root.root
Done.

thanks for fast reply. SUPERSU is still on phone. i tried installing/uninstalling them all..trying to see if i was missing some sort of option to install to the directory listed above. hm..i wonder what would happen if i just created a folder in /system...and named it /su.d.....

Download the zip from maximum entropy, create folder in system called su.d and give it 0755 or rwx-rx-rx
Then take the file from the zip in nameofzip.zip/system/su.d/viper50.sh and copy into the same directory in your root filesystem. Give it chmod 0755 or rwx-rx-rx. Also make sure owners are both root. (Chown root.root)
Reboot, profit

thank you for the fast/detailed reply. will be trying in a minute...will comment further. on a side note...i use root explorer to view files. it seems quite a few of these "tweaks" require files and locations that "do not exist" on my phone. yes..i have hidden file access. i use link2sd (im on 5.1.1) to "automatically" set download locations. is this my problem?

Alrighty, I just flashed it.... now how do I get to the settings? Is there an app to open or is it in settings? This is my first time using V4A

Lol no.. Now you need viper4android apk.
When you install then launch it will prompt to install drivers, select which suits you. Low, med, high.
Reboot, you now have a fully functional equalizer. You may adjust settings through v4a.
