Root V8 - Wifitether or Move to V6 or V7 then JB Roms -How?

Hi Guys

I got a factory refurbished V8 and I have rooted it. But due to the limitation of V8, I can not install CWM and install roms.

I read somewhere in this forum that on V8, Wifitether does not work. If Wifitether works, then I do not want to go through the the process of downgrading and rooting again.

I got my Nexus 7 (thanks to OfficeMax 20% coupon) and badly need wifitether to use my nexus to full potential.

So, What is my path to get the Wifitether working?

Can you please put down some steps for this?

You can still unlock your bootloader and install CWM from V8.

I tried to use the all in one package and did not worked.

Which one I need to use for that?

It's the same one. You just have to run it twice.

I'm on my 3rd or 4th replacement and it came with the v8 update. Ran the tool twice and worked flawlessly. WiFi tether is a little tricky. I tried a few apps like barnacle that i couldn't get to work.

Did you flash a JB ROM? They all have it built in, never had a problem using it.
