Verizon doesn't even consider us a 'market' they just extended the Springfield, MO market 70 miles up the road!
No one can have as many gripes about Verizon as I do. Still they have great coverage.

Yes, congrats.

I live in Honolulu, and Honolulu has had 4G for quite some time. My luck has me just outside the "Extended 4G" area by about 500 feet. Oh well, it'll get here, eventually, if I live long enough. :smokingsomb:

congratulations, im glad to hear you have 4G in your area!

Verizon seems to be rolling out 4G strangely. A lot of very small towns here (and when I mean small, I mean populations ~1000 or less) that have 4G, while I hear about people in larger cities that still don't have it yet or its unreliable. Sort of amusing anyway.

I know what you mean. Springfield, MO is about 250, 000 people but it is the biggest city in this corner of the state.
As for Joplin, I think it's because of I-44. The phone companies want to have the interstate hwy system covered. Joplin is about 100,000 (metro) folks just west on i-44 about 60 miles from Springfield.
I bet if you plotted 4G cities against an interstate hwy map you would learn a lot about their thinking.

For the most part, I've noticed them covering interstates very well first and foremost. But even towns way off the beaten path have gotten 4G. If you look up Viborg, SD, you'll notice its still quite a ways off from I-29. And at one point between there and the interstate, you will actually fall back to 2G.
