Is this something that is meant for over a wifi connection (like my brother tells me about with is iphone) or is it stand alone that I can use whereve I may be? (yes, I know the other party must be using Skype too.
Skype for Verizon is a dedicated app. no work arounds like on iphone where have to be lucky enough to have a wifi connection, this works everywhere....
there is one catch though....if you try to make a domestic landline phone call, the app switches you over to your verizon voice signal and that call counts against your minutes and calling plan.
i dont blame verizon for this. it will tick some people off, but can you blame vzw? they sell you a calling plan, right?
