verizon back up assistant

Can any one help me to disable back up assistant. From the first time I had my phone it has not worked properly. Before I updated to jelly bean I was able to go into application manager and disable. With jelly bean I am unable to do so. Thank you for your time.

Pretty ridiculous we cannot disable this thing now... I too have the same issue.
