Root [Verizon] Camera issue?

I have had this happen a couple times recently... when I've taken a picture there are these vertical lines over the entire picture. Anyone have any idea what might be causing this? Thinking it might be something on the lens, I have cleaned it then tried again... but no!

Without debugging it, I'd guess either a problem with the CCD or a firmware problem in the camera. In either case, the fix is probably replacing the camera.

Thanks Rukbat...CCD? Not familiar with that! How do I go about replacing? Delete the existing camera then download a new one from play store? I assume my existing pics will be safe as they are secure in their current folders?

Try another camera app.?
No need to remove the existing one.....just to see if the new camera app has the same issue

No respect whatsoever I tell ya! :-/ The subject in the pic is NOT the subject in the pic! The LINES are the subject .
Oh by the way, a new camera app did it.. Still wonder why it started acting up. I like that camera as it has a really clean look to it plus quite a lot of editing features. Oh well..

was that from the stock camera?
Not sure if there is an option to clear cache from within that stock camera app or not.

Or possibly wipe cache and dalvik in recovery to see if that helps

Yes it it's the stock camera. I may be able to do that thru another app like ROM toolbox - I'll check!
