Help Verizon can't turn on data while in a call

This just started today and I am on Verizon. Got a call from someone that calls me all the time and needed to look up something and pulled the screen down to turn data on and get a message unable to turn on mobile data during a volte call. What? Have never seen this before and I have had this phone since August and have always been able to turn data on while in a call up until today.

I was out and about so stopped at the Verizon store and explained to them what happened and lady said your data is not on what ever that meant and the other guy told her to make sure advanced calling was on and she said it was and she did something and said it's fixed. Ok come home and call my phone from husbands verizon phone and try to turn on data while in a call and now get the message unable to turn off mobile data while in a volte call and I still can't turn data on while in a call. I have to hang up turn on data and call the person back, very annoying. Either they didn't understand the problem I told them or I don't know what's going on. Anyone know about this? Mary

I haven't tried to use DATA on my phone, I did just this morning though turn on WiFi while on a call.

I don't remember if 3g or 4g was lit up.

I'm still on 4.4.4 though.

They are trying to help me on the Verizon forums but advanced settings are grayed out so to speak and I can't turn advanced calling off. I logged into the account from my computer and I cant find there where to disable volte. This is getting very frustrating as I just want it back the way it was so when I get calls if need be I can turn the 4g on. I don't know what Verizon did but I know I didn't touch anything to cause this. Will have to pop back into the store tomorrow as I guess the tech lady today didn't understand my problem and they don't know how to fix this concerning volte. Why do companies thing they are doing something for the better when it's not better for you. Mary

It's fixed. I have no clue how HD calling got turned on but I was finally able to get it turned off so I can now turn data on during a call if need be. Mary
