Root [Verizon] change power button action?

Can I change my power button action to something else? I want to know so just incase someone steals my phone in class i can log onto lookout mobile security while they're struggling to find out how to power down my phone.

Not that I know of. :dontknow:
Unless there is some app that would utilize a password for shutdown with the power button.
Or a rom that has a setting for the power button re-assignment.
I mean, a battery pull by the thief would be quicker.

An interesting topic, so I Googled it. There's lots of talk around the various online forums about this, and the general consensus is that there is no way to prevent a burglar from stealing the phone and then cutting power or jumping into Odin mode and simply flashing their own custom ROM. For some devices, the only real security measure is simple vigilance.
