Verizon changes pricing models, including data

Announced today:

AppleInsider | Verizon undercuts AT&T, reduces monthly voice plan by $29

I found this line most interesting:

Verizon officials believe that metered bandwidth costs will be beneficial to most customers, who do not use large amounts of data every month. Lynch said the average customer's bill would be lower if they paid for what they actually use.

I think this is disengenuous personally - Verizon expects us to believe they are making this change to reduce revenue...? As more and more people move to data-capable devices, data use will increase, not decrease. All-you-can-eat plans would be helpful. Billing by the byte will not.

Thats not bad. Its about time they had an unlimited plan. Wish it included data. If they have a metered data plan Im leaving Verizon point blank.

Among the changes it still states that smartphones still require $29.99 unlimited data plan. Some key changes are that some of none-smartphones now need to buy $9.99 unlimited 3G-multimedia plan, and voice plans are quite reduced in price.

Some one already posted this in the DROID forum and it was moved to the Verizon forum. Please, put your posts in the RIGHT PLACE!

Watch out! Nerds who get mad at a post being in the wrong place. Try telling him/her where to place it. I didnt know there were unwritten rules stating that a post had to be put here or there?
