Verizon cutting return policy to 14 days?

Wow. I think Verizon want us to switch carriers so they can handle the influx from AT&T for the CrapPhone.

I think 14 days should be plenty of time to decide if a phone is right for you. And like phantom phenom said, this wouldn't be an issue if people didn't abuse the old return policy.

I don't think this has anything to do with abuse. Further more, there are plenty of bugs with devices I wouldn't have noticed in two weeks.

Like what? Something that you need/want to do a lot, you will most likely try right away, and if it doesn't work, then you can return. And anything else sounds like it would be more of a problem with the device hardware, and you would still be covered by the warranty in that case. Sorry, but it just seems that any problem that you don't notice within 2 weeks of using a device daily is probably a problem that isn't a problem with HOW the phone works for you, which is really what the return policy is about, giving you a chance to find the phone that works right for you. And if the phone does work right for you, but then something goes wrong in week 3, do a warranty return.

You also have to remember that verizon has always been a crap company they just have good service. I do agree with everyone who says its due to abuse, rumor from a friend at AT&T said he heard they were going to do the same thing. I think its good, if I need an exchange I dont want some phone that some kid just wanted to lick for a month just so he can bide time till the next device comes out.
