Verizon Falls Behind in the Phone Race 2011

MWC, CTIA... The time to reveal phones is now. We have seen several phones revealed (and even released) for AT&T, Spring, and T-Mobile. Verizon, however, has fallen behind in the race. There are plenty of rumors about Droid X2, Droid Targa, Droid 3, Droid Bionic, and the Samsung Galaxy S2, but still absolutely no word on pricing, exact names, exact specs, and release dates.

Is there a reason Verizon is so slow right now? It's apparent the Big Red needs to step it up.

Verizon has sold their soul to Apple. I wouldn't be surprised if they are required to downplay Android just for the privilege of selling the iPhone.
 
This really pisses me off to say the lest. We get the HTC thunderbolt and other get the EVO 3D. We get the LG Revolution and other get LG optimus 2x and LG optimus 3d. We get the Motorola bionic and other get Motorola Atrix. We get the Samsung stealth and other get Samsung Galaxy S2. What the **** man! It like verzion or developers of the phones do not want us to get the same stuff. We are only getting second hand crap and everyone else is getting the gold. Only reason I am still with verizon is the service. Other then that I am super pissed off!!!! Only a little bit of time before people get to pissed and start leaving if phones that everyone else gets or comparable ones do not start to come out!!!!
 
I really dont believe a company as big as verizon is gonna allow itself to fall behind. Saying that the bionic and dx2 and lg revolution are 2nd hand or second best is going a little far. What makes the atrix or evo 3d (which isnt out yet) so much better than what verizon has coming? The lg revolution is the phone to debut the netflix app and i guees my point is that i dont believe that everybody else really has some that are sooo much better. Maybe they just market them harder. If you can show some specs ill be the first to admit im wrong because i dont KNOW one way or another. The evo 3d has a 1.2ghz cpu and and 5mp camera,yeah it can take 3d pictures. But what makes all of you so confident that verizon wont have anything to compete coming up?

Also some of the newer phones that came out too after this was released. This just goes to show that all of the new phones that are coming out are not even in a league with these and none of them are on verizon except the droids of course.

Also HTC, LG, Motorola, and Samsung are coming out with fast and quicker phones then what they put out on verizon. Like my previous post I explain it all.

One last thing the time all these phones verizon announced for there LTC comes out there will be faster and quicker things out. It took forever for the thunderbolt to come out and now there is no saying when the rest will come out!! So I rest my case!
 
Couldn't agree more about the selling their souls to Apple comment. ATT got bogged down the smae way for years. Maybe its a coincidence but Verizon is definitely falling behind in phone tech for 2011.

Not only are these phones behind in specs from other carriers, they all seem to be the same damn phone. Hardware is the same outdated mid 2010 hardware that will be lucky to launch mid 2011. Then the throw out some shit like *first w/ Netflix app* Like that f-ING matters?.... it'll be hacked and on my HTC Incredible before LG has a chance to release. Even if they do get that app first it will still end up on all Android eventually. Buying a phone with this logic would be like saying, "sure the CPU is outdated two years ago, but they threw in some anti virus software."

The only phones that it appears that VZW will release this year that aren't outdated hardware are Moto devices. Personally I can't stand Moto Blur, that crap bogs down phones.

If this crap keeps up I will definitely be seeking out a new carrier.
