hi, my verizon galaxy s3 won't charge the battery even though it shows the charging icon, i suspected the charging port being loose or something, so i decided to add some soldering on port pins hoping to strengthen the contact between the port and motherboard.
i used an iron and good soldering ( i am not new at this), but when i put it back and turned it on, it showed the samsung logo then went dead.
i noticed the motherboard was hot, i suspected a short circuit between port pins, i went back and made sure using the iron and mesh there is no short circuit s/c between the teeth, but still remains dead after putting back.
i think i burned a fuse or something but i don't know which one, also i saw somewhere, we can start the phone from within the motherboard using s/c between two points ( jump start it), whoever has knowledge of these issues, any helpful tip will be greatly appreciated.
thanks!
