Root [Verizon] Great battery life on CM 10.2

I switched over to CM 10.2 (the 4.3.1 nightly of 10/28) from PacMan and I'm amazed at the battery life.

After nearly 12 hours of routine use (phone, email, some web) and it's still at 74%.

I've not seen other reports of a two day charge but I'm sure not complaining.

(Verizon Galaxy S3 with the "stock" 3.4.66 kernel)

What rom were you on before? And I would assume less of a battery life with it?

Pac-Man rom (of early October vintage).
That was going to 25 - 30% battery by the end of the day

That's because pacman has all sorts of other shit built into it that uses battery. The slimmer a rom, the better the battery. Cm, aokp and even Liquid are better for battery than pacman.
