It's not bogus.
WiMax is better suited for data.

But WiMax is not greater than LTE and LTE is not greater than WiMax.
They will both have a place in the digital age. In the end I think LTE will win out for the method of choice when it comes to phones and yes that means the EVO will be a limited use device. But I hear that Clear is thinking about doing something about that.

I'm only referring to the speeds Verizon shows on their table in that thread. I routinely get better than 6 Megs download. It's bogus.
 
I have never gotten over 3mbs. 4g kinda sucks here in the Sprint Home Town, but it's about what I get over WiFi at home.
 
it probably depends on where you are located to get certain speeds. SF doesn't have 4G so i have no say.
