Verizon Network outage - 11/9

I just got off the phone with Verizon Tech support. We were trying to figure out why both mine and my wife's phone were not getting data coverage, but could get calls and texts. In the middle of him trying to diagnose my phone, he said a message popped up on his end saying that there was a problem with Verizon's system in the Southeast and that data coverage would be out until they could get it fixed. He said he saw that there was no ETA on fixing it so, might be a while. Happy happy, joy joy. :(

LOL! Well, it is down in parts of the general Houston, Texas area at least. As for everywhere else I only know what he told me. But, like you said, it wouldn't surprise me if he was wrong about the extent or if it's out in some spots and on in others.
 
My data is up now but was down between approximately 4:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. I had to reboot my phone multiple times before it started working again. However I did move from west Harris county to the Galleria area. Who knows if it works from the house or not.
 
it could also be that by the time I checked the outage had been partially restored.

I've been on WiFi most of the day so I would never have noticed in the first place....

Yeah, I'm up near Conroe and it's still not working for me. My wife is in The Woodlands at work and she wasn't able to connect as late as 10 am. I'll see what it does when I go home too. I left a message with Verizon support and haven't heard anything back yet, but I figured that was a Hail Mary regardless.

Let the fun continue!
