Root [Verizon] Phone Lagging

For some reason my phone has been lagging alot for the last couple of days and I'm not sure why. For example when I go to make a phone call it will take a couple of seconds like 10 seconds before the dialer come up or when opening an app I will get a blank screen for about 10 seconds before opeing

I am running JellyBean Rom and Nova Launcher

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Have you messed with the kernel settings at all?
Try clearing cache and dalvik cache in your recovery...that sometimes clears up stuff like that

I haven't messed with anything. i will try to clear the cache and dalvik cache now and see what happens.
