Verizon S5 Developer edition

Seen that Samsung just released a Verizon developer edition to the S5. Questions I have are: What is the difference between this phone and the standard except the unlocked boot loader? With this phone I assume I will have root access as well. Does it come with stock VZ image?

All the same, just has an unlocked boot loader.

I'd read up on Developer Edition of Samsung phones over at XDA. Seems that although earlier generations of them were similar with just the unlocked boot loader, that Samsung nor VZW do not provide updates for the phone, so there are some trade offs. Or in other words, in current and newer versions of the DE there are some hurdles.

Worth a read if you expect to flash freely as you want. There are a bunch of Note 3 DE owners that seem to have sour grapes over the fact that they can't flash TW KitKat because Sammy nor VZW support the phone and won't update the bootloader to enable them to do so.
