Verizon - Samsung Messages

Verizon and Samsung are phasing their messaging services out and suggesting you use Google Messages, it's legit. I think Verizon's is already dead.
If you hate GM then Textra is great, albeit no RCS.

Ok thanks. Just making sure it wasn't a scam text. At least the political text messages have finally stopped.
Yeah, there's a big article about it in the news, it'll be affecting a few carriers. RCS is supposed to be more secure than what the manufacturers offer as far as texting goes.
RCS on Android to Android is end to end encrypted. iMessage to iMessage is as well. Android to iPhone is not, regardless of RCS status/usage. If you want secure messaging you'll have to use something else like WhatsApp.
I'm not even going to pretend what all that means, but thanks again for the help. Google Messages is working pretty good so far.
I think I'll stay with Textra. At least until something better comes around.

I would so, but if it did not assume I was only typing in portrait and never having the keys in landscaping when typing..
That is why I am on next SMS.
