Verizon single line plan - got cheaper

I had the 2gb plan for $75 a month, as of Aug. 15th or so (according to the Cust Svc rep) it's gone down to $60. I don't know if this is temporary or not, but I called & switched to this cheaper plan today. It's the same plan, just $15 less a month. :smokingsomb:

I have the wife on the More Everything Plan with 1gb of data. With my company discount that is running me $73. I called today to switch to this individual plan and the rep didn't seem to know what I was talking about, and tried to bump me UP $20 to get 3gb of data (to the $60 data plan - doh!). I told him I would go to T-Mobile, since they'd cover the ETF and I could port the number. He played around for almost a half an hour, and then put me on hold to check on something. I got disconnected after being on hold about 1 minute. Argh.

I see folks posted that they have switched from More Everything to this plan, but when I look at it online it seems to only be for new activations. I guess I will call back and politely remind them that I can go to TMo again and see if I can find someone who will actually switch me to this plan.

Consider a couple with no discount.

The single More Everything (ME) plan at $60 for 2GB ($40 for phone + $20 for data) is $120 for a couple with 2 GB each. The ME shared plan for a couple with 2GB shared is $40x2 + $50 for 2 GB data = $130. The edge plan does not change the comparison since its effect on each plan is the same. Twice the data for $10 less. The ME plan with 4 GB shared plan is $30 more. The comparisons above do not include the tax and charges but since the totals are similar I believe the tax and charges will be about the same. If you get a discount it applies to the data cost and will have a small effect on the comparisons.

The savings for one person on a 2 GB ME shared plan is $30. It is a $10 savings for three people who have a 4 GB shared ME plan.

If you've been with VZW for a length of time, ask about pricing on a loyalty user plan. It costs less than a More Everything thingie. I have a number of VZW stores in the area, and find it easier to do business face to face.
