Root [Verizon] So we can only flash one Rom on 4.4.2

Hey guys after a brief stint with iPhone 5 I decided to come back to android( s3 better than iphone) I missed flashing roms b4 I left Knox was just getting introduce now im back and I rooted and installed safe strap now you mean to tell me I can't flash any roms except the stock deodoxed 4.4.2 also there is no way to downgraded the bootloader yet

Roms I'm not sure of
And the only way I have seen to revert back to pre-Knox, pre-locked bootloader is to fork over 50 smackers to these folks: (reputable folks btw )
