Verizon upgrade - 2 phones with unlimited data help?

Have two Verizon phones. One HTC Incredible and one LG Optimus provided by Verizon because a patch they supplied bricked my Inc. Unlimited data on both lines.

Want to upgrade to the Samsung Galaxy 4 for both lines. Possible to do this and retain my unlimited data without paying full price for the phones?

Thanks.

You cannot use the upgrade on two lines if you want to keep unlimited data. You either have to pay retail, buy a used version, use an upgrade on a different line than the unlimited one, or use the add a line/dumbphone trick.

Your only shot if you want a subsidized upgrade is to open a 3rd phone line and put a dummy phone on that line after doing an alternate upgrade.

Can someone explain the "dummy line" option? I have two Razr Maxxs on unlimited, and two added Bionics on 4g each... want to upgrade to the new Maxx when my upgrade rolls around in a couple months, but was told by VZ that I would have to go to a share plan... 6 shared gb, unlimited talk/text... actually saves me $20, but I am not so sure about the limit. I go 1-1.6 gb a month on my own...
