Root [Verizon] Voicemail outgoing message question...

Let me see if I can explain this!...

You know when you make a call to someone and the call rolls over to their VM, their outgoing message engages and plays out (unless you touch "1")...

THEN - after that message plays, the CARRIER's system message will then play! Follow so far?...

My question is this: How can I get RID of the carrier's message which ADDS more time one must WAIT ( :mad: ) to leave a message to the intended recipient? Is it something that CAN be done? This is extremely annoying to me especially when calling someone with a rather looonngg message! Thanks for replies...:smokingsomb:

I think you can change that in your voicemail setup...I know exactly what you mean! Gotta wait for that stupid carrier message to play after you personal VM greeting!

Yeah, the option is on my VM but I am on Sprint...but not for much longer.

What carrier are you on? Perhaps it's different with your carrier VM, and others can chime in on the issue you have. :)

Funny thing...When I have a voicemail waiting for me to listen to, there is a small icon up in my notification bar and I can then pull it down and tap on it. It will connect to my vm and ask for my PIN and I then can hear the messages from there. (Here's the 'funny thing'!) When I want to open that same vm app from the apps drawer, it ain't there! What is UP with that? Where would I find my vm interface? I'm on Liquid RC9 ROM. :confused::confused:

Could it be something about the rom and the VM app that came with it?
Would you like me or another staff member to move this into your device forum?

(Sorry, been away for a while!)

Indeed, it is the S3 device and I'm guessing it is the ROM and I'd appreciate the move! You da man :p
